If Trout doesn't win the MVP, will it be the first time a Top 15 individual season of All-Time wasn't awarded with an MVP? Maybe one of the many years Pujols didn't win but should have would qualify.

I don't see any Mets on that list.

Not to rub salt on old wounds but, Dickey probably wins 25 games and the CY hands down on another team.
Mets trade away reigning CY Young award winner.
Still have the best pitcher in Baseball.

Sure it's possible, but considering that RADs season was great, but not historic and that in the last 30 seasons only one pitcher has gotten to 25+ wins, I'm not so sure it is a slam dunk of any kind.

FWIW-- only one pitcher in MLB history won 25 or more games with 34 or fewer appearances-- and it was over 100 years ago [Bill Donovan 1907]

With over 50 IP in 2012, you're not gonna see Harvey on it next year - either.

Thankfully the oversight (or bad judgment) didn't cost Miley the ROY. Even if Center had him first he still would have trailed Harper 112-110.

But adding Miley to his ballot might have pushed Harper down on his ballot.

If Harper was first or second on his ballot and Bill Center pushed him down a spot to put Miley first, then Miley gains five and Harper loses two making it a tie at 110.

IMO, that Miley and Harper weren't #1/#2 on every single ballot is just another reason, IMO, that the writers are not qualified to vote on these things. Frazier, Aoki and Rosario were far enough behind Harper and Miley, that they should have been only been fighting for the third place votes.

Good point. That said, since Center didn't notice Miley enough to put him in the top 3 it's unlikely he would have had him beat out Harper had he come to his senses and included him on the ballot.

Wheres the love for Wilin Rosario? Catcher with 28 bombs and all around very good numbers. I guess his Coors field numbers are the result of that...

Bob Melvin wins AL manager of the year.  For whatever reason he received almost universal disapproval from our fan base during the overhaul two years ago.  Guess he's laughing last.

I didnt really even pay attention to this, but the fact that Kershaw and Gio are the other finalists seems like good news for Dickey.

I think Kershaw would ordinarily have an edge over Dickey, but he won last year, and I can see human nature taking over voters there.

I think if you stack Gio and Dickey straight up, i really dont see how Gio gets it. I hope people voted for Harper and Davey, and then not Gio

All wishful thinking, of course.
