Re: Benoit to UNLV
That's excactly what happened. Wanted to wait and make his announcment during the All-Star game in the meantime the kid in Houston say's Yes I'll commit and there is no more Schalorships left for RB.

Re: Benoit to UNLV
dam, I thought Benoit was the better prospect - hands down. Peters must have committed Sunday morning on his visit - we're talking hours here

Re: Benoit to UNLV
He was better off at another school, UNLV facilities are terrible and Bobby Hauck won't be there if he doesn't win 7 or 8 games. Might be worst D1 school in the country.

Gosh.... My guess would be it was the part on TV when he said" I'am committing but I'm going to take a few more visits just to make sure". My take? The coach said be my guest!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought you can tell your college head coach that your committing and tell the public days later the news. Because the college coach really can't publiclly comment on a recruit until after LOI is signed, so the news would be private until you decided to unveil your choice. Thats too bad too, because Colorado State is a beautiful school.

Doesn't mean CSU wouldn't've been a better choice. Hauck and staff will probably be gone after the 2013 season [unless winning 4 or 5 games is 'enough of an improvement' in the AD's view].

Re: Benoit to UNLV
What a stupid statement! First of all he's getting a FREE College Education, its a beautiful campus, with a brand new 20,000 sq ft weight room & training facility. Not to mention a brand new stadium which is being paid for by the casinos there. Hauk in his 4th year of his contract & he needs to show something this year, just hired Timm Rosenbach as OC. and a new D.C. they lost 15 seniors. Things are happening there in a positive way. Any school that offers a FREE College Education is as great as any other college.

Re: Benoit to UNLV
apparently his dad talked CSU coaches into the possibility of a greyshirt - plus ASU might extend an official visit this weekend.

Re: Benoit to UNLV
Sounds like he and his dad might have waited too long for that elusive BCS offer and it hurt his real offers that they had in hand.

Re: Benoit to UNLV
His last official visit to Oregon this weekend Ducks come back around on this RB targetOregon is hoping to get a third running back commit in this class. Additionally they need to hold on to Dontre Wilson and add one more piece to the puzzle. DuckTerritory reported earlier this week to keep an eye on Kani Benoit and that is exactly what happened. Ducks move in on Benoit
