Re: All D3 Team
Jason's list is good. Agree on the difficulty of selecting a QB. If someone had a gun to my head, asking me to rank the QBs, my D3 QB selection would look someting like this: - Ryan Finley
- T. Rogers
- Sawyer Lung
- Luke Rubenzer
- E. Grant
Arguably, a case could be made for any one of these guys to hold the number 1 spot.

RE: All D3 Team
Wouldnt that depend on the weapons that they had to work with?

Re: All D3 Team
There's a ton of Div 1 & 2 coaches that would love to have any of the QB's and RB's on this list. Rogers was the best one I saw play in person. Greenway Rb had a great season that many may not know of . Good D-3 rankings

RE: All D3 Team
Any of those QBs could make a case for first team. Shoot in the all section it was Finley 1st team, Rubenzer 2nd and Gant HM

I expect Finley to get the All-AZ QB tab. There are probably 5 QBs, including him, that could make a case for the coveted All-AZ spot.

Re: All D3 Team
Jason, with all due respect I have to disagree with your selection for the first team "Athlete". It should have been Kyle Woolard from Desert Edge, who you only named as an honorable mention running back. Kyle was (I think) the leading rusher for DE with 1663 yards and 14 TDs. 10 catches - 3 for TDs (24.4 yard avg). 1907 total yards. On the other side of the ball he had 29 tackles, 3 picks, 10 pass deflections and caused 2 fumbles. He returned kicks as well - 11 kick returns for a 25.09 yd average. 102 total points for his team. He also played some of his best games in the biggest ones - Liberty, Saguaro and QC. Basically he was a factor in all 3 elements of the game for the State runner-up. This senior deserved more recognition than given. Kirk - who is a fine athlete in his own right, cant quite match those numbers and certainly doesnt better them: 10 carries for 166 yds; 43 catches for 1003 yards (23.33 avg). 1169 total yards. Defensively 23 tackles, 4 picks, 2 passes deflected. No fumbles caused or recovered. He returend 11 kicks as well for a lower average than Kyle - 22.91. 96 total points. He also struggled in two of their bigger games, Chapparal and DE. As a Sophomore I dont see how those numbers beat a Senior. Just an opinion. Keep up the good work.

RE: All D3 Team
That was very very tough selection as well. Also had to keep in consideration that Kirk missed a few games early after a car accident, so stats are a little skewed.
