Division 1 Champions - Hamilton Huskies

Great game! What a resilient team. After losing the first 2 games we watched everyone pick against them. Each and every week it was someone else chance to beat the Huskies but they played their tails off. The defense was major all season some consider them to be one of the best Hamilton D's of all time. #90 Ethan Hicks stepped up and did his best to fill the shoes of Jaxon Hood so much energy from this kid. How many interceptions on the night? 3 or 4? They battled back from 0-2 then ran off 12 straight to get the gold ball. The O-line played awesome. The coaching staff is top notch, and truly care about the kids. The kids don't fear their coaches they respect them and therefore the coaches get the most out of the players. Congrats to the Hamilton Huskies!

Maybe being an underdog helped them re-focus and overcome the adversity.

*Can anyone confirm the mock funeral that Mountain Point had for Hamilton at their pep ralley where they all dressed up for a funeral? Who does this?

Congrats to Hamilton for their 7th title in the past 10 years.

The Huskies picked off 3 MP passes and recovered 1 fumble.

Levi Sterling, Juwan Jones, and Luke Parrish had the interceptions.  Levi also recovered the fumble and blocked a field goal.

Ball control by Hamilton was key! Gutty performance by Running Back Kevin Walters to come back after a low blow to the knee at the beginning of the 2nd quarter, in which no one thought he would return. He finished about 130 yards rushing and also caught a a pass out of the backfield for 18 yards.
