In looking at the Arkansas Razorbacks staff...

Nick Holt - director of on-campus recruiting (not really sure what that is)
Kevin Peoples - DLine Tackles (from Carroll, MT)
Chris Klenakis - OLine coached at Nevada and graduated from Carroll College
Jason Veltkamp - Strength and Conditioning coahed at Carroll, Utah State, Utah.

I'm not saying these guys are available, good or that they're not, just that they have ties to the NW and/or Petrino that go beyond Arkansas. 

any other names floating around out there?  any connections from his time at Illinois?

All these guys would be assets. Klenakis was O Coordinator at Nevada and a pistol proponent. Cinkovich is rated as one of nation's top recruiters.

As far as I'm concerned, leave Holt off the list.

Holt can't coach defense to save his life, but it might be interesting to have him on staff because it seemed like when he was coach here he actually had a decent eye for talent.

Linebackers maybe?

I seriously doubt he comes.

You guys don't want Klenakis. Our OL has been HORRIBLE since he's been here. Peoples is a good young coach though i'd like to see us keep him...he put DL into the NFL pretty frequently at arkansas state

Holt recruited Enderle & Iupati, Williams, Komar and most of the H-Bowl team.

John Welsh was before

Holt was DC when he recruited Welsh and others.

My guess is Tormey or his OC recruited Welsh.   I just hope that Petrino hires who he wants to hire.

Welsh was recruited by JLS staff as was Alexicos, Thomas, Skinner and etc.. Whether Holt did the actual recruiting I don't know.

Nick would be a good Dline or linebackers coach. He can recruit, but these recruits listed were OK'ed by him, not found and recruited by him. The whole staff recruits, the Head Coach just has the final say. He also Ok'ed some turds.
Keo, good athlete, overrated safety and teammate, was recruited by Jeff Mills
Lavarias was found by Ryan Knowles when he was a GA.
Komar was a walk-on, I think Joel Thomas invited him. Joel or Jeff Mills.
Iupati was Nansen, Enderle was Kaczor.
Just giving credit where credit is mostly due.

Wrong.  I'm telling you: Welsh was found at his prep school by Holt when he was Tormey's DC.  I was working for the AD then.
