If you went on how they performed against us, these two would not be on the list. Both were completely gassed in the 4th quarter on their home field in the 1995 Orange Bowl.

Sanders had some nice stats but mostly garbage stats as we got out to a 35-0 lead in the first quarter.

The best individual performance I saw against us when we were a much better program was Troy Aikman when he was at UCLA.
I could disagree on this.  UM had a great D that year and we did what we did all year.  We wore you down.  Give credit to that D as they gave us all we wanted yet we prevailed.  Dislike them if you like but that was a really good D that we had to get by in order to hoist the trophy.

i agree.  that D gave up 24 points to a team that averaged 50 the next year and could have put up any number they wanted on nearly everyone else (including penn state, that would have been a slaughter).  Only three other teams did nearly as good of a job on the huskers that year  -- colorado was ranked #3 at the time and we scored 24 (berringer was wearing that flak jacket and was hurting from that collapsed lung earlier in the year), KSU was #16 and we scored 17 (on the road with our 3rd string qb -- hardly the same team that played miami), and oklahoma who if i'm remembering right held us but i'm remembering that game being strange because frazier could have played and berringer played tight (cant' recall if i'm totally right with that, people can feel free to correct me).

we beat them, but they were pretty darn good... not much else to say.

Chase Daniel and Jeremy Maclin? They OWNED NU 2 years in a row.
Performances by opposing players on offense during the Callahan years should not be eligible for consideration.  They need their own separate category.
How about James Franklin, then?
Also, Maclin and Daniel both played once against a Pelini-coached Husker team.
Monte Ball, Braxton Miller, Denard Robinson (2011)

When you stop and think about that fact, it really puts our win over Miami for the national championship into better perspective.

RE: Nebraska All-Opponent Team

Just some names that come to mind

QB -- John Hadl/Jack Mildren
RB -- Gayle Sayers/Steve Owen/Red Grange but hon mention to John Riggins/Barry Sanders and the Four Horseman
TE -- Keith Jackson or Kellen Winslow
DLine -- Selmons/Warren Sapp/Steve Emtman
__
This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then - explode.
