13+ walkons

Huskers.com lists 13 walkons, 11 from Nebraska, 1 from Illinois and 1 from Texas.  Jordan Bellar averaged 45.1 yds/punt -- pretty impressive considering that a short field is going to cut the distance off some punts.  It'll be interesting to see how many develop to see decent playing time.  Nice to see the walkon program being rebuilt.

Met a kid last night in the gym wearing a St. Thomas Aquinas shirt from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Said he was trying to walk on, but they weren't adding anyone this spring. Is this a list of players who transferred in?

it is a walkon program but you pretty much have to be recruited to have a shot.

Found him looks pretty good, but with these RBs coming in probably would have no shot. Said he plays safety too, but this is just offense.
p.s mute the song! haha

Wow.  13 walkons!  Add the fact that the walk-on program no longer counts against the county scholarship program and we have ourselves a pretty good group of recruits (though, I heard there was some concern whether the kid from Arnold would sign).

I think maybe we have a walk-on OL from Illinois working to get qualified.
