ON espn the U is whipping da dukies 71-44 with Dickie V on the call. Just goes to show how a good D like the UW can keep you in the game no matter how piss poor you shoot.
Although the U is undefeated in the ACC.

At least Duke plays an exciting brand of basketball...
Has a number one team ever lost this bad? Has Duke ever lost this bad? Weird stuff is happening this year in college basketball. Bo finally makes a final four with his "worst team?

Nice to see IU utilizing the full court press with its starters, up 23 on PSU with under 2 minutes left in the game.
As for UM, Miami is really good. Very good mix of players. And they are actually a slower paced team than UW. Edit: Just slightly faster now, but for most of the season they were 'slower'.

Drake takes down Creighton. Drake fortunate not to get a T called when fans started storming floor 0.5 seconds too early.

AND Miami missed a bunch of free throws. Duke missed a bunch too.

Washington State up 10 on Oregon.
Louisville went down last night.
Lots of upsets this week
Also the Gophers are in a dogfight with Northwestern. 2 point game with 14 to play. Would be great for the Badgers if the Gophers lost again

Neither team can make a FT in the Minny/NU game. Both under 50% on 15+ attempts with 13 minutes left.

Re: Amazing #1 Duke shooting 28% and getting blown out.
Gasaway just did a write up on the U and Larranaga, arguing that their D is Elite and that their team is stylistically very much like our beloved Badgers.
He even mentions, Miami assistant coach Eric Konkol, who played for Bo at Platteville.

Northwestern still with a chance to blow this if they go into a shell offensively. Gophs may be playing for their B1G lives on Saturday.

Re: Amazing #1 Duke shooting 28% and getting blown out.
Let's face it. There is some pretty poor basketball being played this year for some reason. You could say that defenses have taken over but that free throw defense has been impressive! There are probably 30 teams that could win the championship this year, might as well be us.

The Gophers losing tonight at least somewhat lessens the pain of last night's game. Beat them this weekend and they go from talking about the final four to talking about being under .500 in the Big Ten and firing Tubby.

RE: Amazing #1 Duke shooting 28% and getting blown out.
If we beat the gophers on Saturday I am in good shape to win my bet that they would finish 9-9 or worse. Even I didn't expect them to lose this one. When you have the inside players and size they have, you need to be extremely inept to lose to a northwestern team that cannot grab a rebound.
All they needed to do was to get the ball up on the rim and they probably would get two or three chances at a putback.
Austin Hollins fouling out with 11 minutes left was brilliant, as was their execution against the 1-3-1 zone.
