That Bruiser hook(?) may have been the ugliest and least deserving shot that I've ever seen go in the hoop

Terrible offense. Hopefully Dekker and Marshall provide a spark. This is sad

I really hate having two teams like this play eachother. It is going to be ugly.

RE: Virginia @ KC
Evans is awful. Watching last night's games and seeing how this B10 is looking, the Badgers have to find someone who will "will" them to victories like Taylor did last year. Evans cant be that guy and Bruiser, Jackson, nor Brust have the talent. So JB or Dekker need to be more assertive

Why not send them to the offensive glass? Is he scared of Virginia's trasition game? Also, feel free to call some shooting fouls on Virginia.

Re: Virginia @ KC
So I missed all of the game so far, but it appears to be ugly. I also notice that Dekker didn't start and he isn't in right now, did he screw something up? No I won't start clamoring for him to get more minutes yet, but clearly we need offense out there which means I'll start complaining soon.

Re: Virginia @ KC
I realize that the Badgers offense has looked stagnant many times in the past; however, I do not remember the offense looking this incapable at times. So many awkward and off balance shots that produce a terrible result. I hope this improves as the season progresses.

They've looked disappointing so far. Its understandable to get beat by Creighton and Florida, but this Virginia squad isn't anything special. They need someone to get hot and get the momentum going our way.

RE: Virginia @ KC
Dekker was in when Virginia had about 4 offensive boards in one trip down, including two boards 1 on 4. So he took some of the blame for that.
Also, if this doesnt look familiar in terms of Badger inept offense, where have you been? Same old Badgers, just no stud to bail them out with less than 5 on clock.

RE: Virginia @ KC
JB leaving his feet to try and block shots has really become an issue for this squad when it comes to grabbing rebounds. He's got to realize that he doesn't have the size or toughness around him to make up for that body not being in position to box out

I don't disagree, just seems like a lot more ugly shots with ugly results so far this year. Plenty of times in the past their shots just don't fall and they look inept.

It makes 0 sense to not crash the offensvie glass against this team. A very low score favors Virginia.

Definitely not overly impressed so far. Bruiser with an offensive board, exactly what we needed.

Bruiser needs more minutes tonight, Evans needs less
Marshall also needs more time than Jackson

We really have to stop these sluggish starts or we'll get crushed in the Big 10.

RE: Virginia @ KC
Well to be down by 1 at half is a small miracle.
This games best lineup appears to be Marshall/Dekker/Bruiser/Evans/JB...Virginia doesnt have a team that will get out and go and thus far their best offense is getting offensive boards

Re: Virginia @ KC
not a whole lot of ball movement early, not nearly the pace they have been playing. alot of 1 on 1(evans/brust. )Berggren and Dekker open posting a couple of times and Evans has to show us his ball handling skills. By that time the window has closed.

Re: Virginia @ KC
Bruesewitz has gotten some nice rebounds. I hope he is able to improve the defense though. His is not good.
Berggren's screens are ineffective, and he's having trouble establishing post position.
I think Bo will rally them.

This is ugly basketball....bruesewitz 2-5, Brust 2-6, Bergrenn 1-5....upperclassmen giving you nothing, guard play is again awful. bruesewitz can't stay with Harris. This is not a good VA team either.

Can someone please tell me why Brust is playing 35 min a game? I mean seriously? Dude is not a Big 10 starter. I'm sorry.

harvardonthehill, I would like to see Marshall and Jackson play together. Marshall, Jackson, Dekker, Berggren, and Evans with some Brust...run with that lineup with Bruesewitz and Kaminsky to provide breathers.

We struggle to rebound and you want to sit our best rebounder? He's also our best outside shooter and actually tries to do something on offense

I'd rather have Jackson and Marshall together, Showalter, or Dekker over Brust. He doesn't pass, can't get his shot off, and overall is just way overrated.
