Max Browne
Does anyone know if there is any serious interest from Max Browne? I'd assume not, but just thought I'd ask.

Re: Max Browne
Wisconsin, along with just about every school in the top 25, has offered. I'm sure they would love to have him. I see little hope of getting him.

Doesn't seem realistic to me. I think USC and Oklahoma are at the top of his list.

I live less than 10 miles from Skyline, there is no interest from Max Browne in the UW program. --------------------------------------------- --- hoopsgalore wrote:

We're in on a few very good QB prospects. I think we have a good shot with Roback from Toledo.

Let me put it this way to you then. His interest in UW is to keep all doors open, but in reality if he ends up at UW it would be the biggest comeback since Paul on the road to Damascus. --------------------------------------------- --- Kilgore309 wrote:

Thanks genius. You're obviously not the only one who thinks it's unrealistic, yet you write as though you have firsthand knowledge. If you do, please share. If your knowledge is based on your relative proximity to his house, then it's no knowledge at all. That was my only point.

Duh, calling me genius and you are quoting an internet recruiting snippet? Sheesh, and yes I know the guys who coached him all through junior football. The ONLY reason he's looking around is that Washington just signed two top 10 qb's this season. Otherwise he'd be a lock for UW (Washington) (that second part is my guess) because of the fact that Sarkesian is a stud QB coach. I'm so sick you you idiots on this board who think this is some kind of real news source and call out people like you are some Edward R Murrow...geesh. Like anyone ever reveals their sources here....they just hide behind some false bravado that they have into and the rest of the posters are idiots...rarely do you have real sources here. I'm a badger fan you are a badger fan, stop being a DICK to fellow fans...but that's the way this site is run.... Kilgore309 wrote: Thanks genius. You are the most sensitive person I have ever come across. I called you genius because you restated my own previously disclosed opinion to me while sounding like you were letting me in on a big secret. Not because I had a big scoop. We all know he's not coming here. Since you have actual information, why not share it in the first place? It makes it so much more interesting for the rest of us. Sorry my tone pissed you off. I really wasn't intending to be a di*k, just a little sarcastic. Let's relax and move on. --------------------------------------------- --- SuperBadger wrote: Duh, calling me genius and you are quoting an internet recruiting snippet? Re: Max Browne
It's an absurd myth that Steve Sarkisan is a stud qb coach. While at USC that program would land one or two five star quarterback recruits a year and to a man the guys he coached there have failed to live up to expectations in the NFL. Guys like Matt Leinart, John David Booty and Mark Sanchez. The last two were the number one recruits at their position their senior year. At Washington Jake Locker regressed during his time at the feet of the great Sarkisan. He was awful his senior year. With a good qb coach he would have been a top five pick just based on raw ability.

Im not disagreeing with u but merely offering a different point of view... maybe the USC qbs played better in college bc of all the outstanding talent around them... and its not like he drained the talent out of them, once they r in the NFL it is on the NFL coaches to get these qbs to play well. Locker had a sh!t team around him his senior year imo... maybe Dark does a great job of getting his qbs to play well in college and that is all... what they do in the NFL can't entirely be put on him, although if I were a top recruit id want a coach that has a history of say... UWs oline rather than a bunch of flops... but one could say he has coached his college qbs well and based on their pro perfotmance compared to their college, maybe he got the most out of them...

Say what you want, it's still tough to recruit a QB against h im. Looking around the college landscape there are not a lot of QB coaches who have worked with numerous guys who later went on to have outstanding pro careers. In fact, there are none. Outstanding pro QB's are few and far between and spread out among schools all over the country. Once you start making those arguments you have to then point to the success you have had in your own program that are more impressive than his. That is a tough standard for most college QB coaches.

Re: Max Browne
Well, the current Udub QB sure looks to have improved and is now in the Heisman talk. As George would say. it does not matter if it is true if HS QBs believe it. On the west coast they do. It will come down to USC, Okie and Stanford, if accepted.

Re: Max Browne
The point I was making is that Sark owes the whole title of stud qb due to people unthinkingly repeating it as the truth. The reality is that he has as much claim to that title as Brian White does to stud running back coach.

Re: Max Browne
What makes you think he is not a good QB coach? Keith Price was a lightly recruited guy and now is super. He's much better at it than BW was. See where BW's career went after UW cut him--toilet. Sark might end up in the NFL someday. He has a lot going for him and he is still young.

Why would you bring up Price who was coached by Doug Nussmeier not Sarkisian? Unlike Sarkisian Nussmeier coached quarterbacks in the NFL before taking the Washington job. I didn't say he wasn't a good quarterback coach I object to him being labeled some sort of super stud qb coach. His three qb's at USC were no better or worse than the guys coached by Chow and subsequently by Clay Helton. If all the starters that have gone through that school under three different offensive coordinators/qb coaches have performed similarly wouldn't it suggest it is more attributable to the system and the talent of the supporting cast than it is to the coaching?

Re: Max Browne
Sark did coach quarterbacks in the NFL.
Sarkisian spent the 2004 season as the quarterbacks coach with the Oakland Raiders. His quarterbacks passed for more than 4,000 yards in 2004 as Oakland ranked eighth in passing in the NFL. http://coachsark.com/coaches/steve-sarkisian/madbadger wrote:

RE: Max Browne
Sarkisian and Washington are the main competitors to Wisconsin for Cali. QB Williams too, with good reason. Perception or reality makes no difference. It is.
