Barry Commits!

Posted: 6/18/2014 7:27 PM

Barry Commits!

Per Twitter, Mohamed Barry has committed to UW, becoming the 15th commitment for the 2015 class.
Sure...I'll take a look.

Nice. Love his game. Needs to add weight, but I don't see that being a problem. Keep those athletes coming!

I got the shotgun....you got the briefcase......all in the game though

Here is our free story with him. He still plans to take a visit to Syracuse this weekend, but he seems 99 percent sold on the Badgers talking to him over the last few days.

Multi year starter. Best player in the class so far.

Calling all "Capologists", whatever the college version is called-
How many scollies do we have left? I thought this would be a smaller class, maybe 20 max.

So relieved to know after your extensive review of film and workouts of the all 15 members of the class you can anoint Barry as the best.  A scouting job for a high major team and a six figure salary can't be that far off given your expertise.  But for now back don't give up that day job flipping burgers.

Speaking of relieved, I'm going to go actually relieve myself now in the place where your post belongs.

His highlight film is a little bit difficult to judge because it's basically just 4 minutes of him blitzing but the athleticism is obvious.
Sure...I'll take a look.

A number of folks are thinking around 23.   We still haven't taken any RB's or DT's

I will sleep better tonight knowing that you and AJ often times agree. The two of you should start your own recruiting  website; that would be an outstanding brain trust of recruiting insight and information.

Re: Barry Commits!

Better yet: If either of them actually had any expertise in player evaluation they could earn far more as a coach/recruiting coordinator.

Of course, the issue is that neither have the expertise or experience...which leaves them as 'self-appointed' recruiting genius that aren't fooling anyone.

Now if one could make a career out of getting banned from a message board? Unknownfan81/allaboutrecruiting/shadowsofCR/madiso nbadger/menomonie1 would be a kingpin.

Re: Barry Commits!

I too have had my issues with theunknownfan81 recently but in all fairness, lets not pick a fight here. 81 does that fine by himself.

Oddly enough I too agree with aj at times. We all have our own opinions. My big beef with 81 is he is too often a Debbie downer.

As for Barry... I have no idea about him yet. I have yet to watch film (highlights) which I take with some grain of salt since they are in fact highlights.

I have read good things about him and he sounds like he has speed to play the edge. We are very quickly building a defense that has some real speed on that side of the ball. Lets hope it translates to a style of play that is not only fun to watch but a winning style as well.

Guys got a motor and a nose for the ball, that much is evident from his film. Could be a "spark" to the defense on the field. Good get for GA!

With snappy comebacks like this you should add "clever savant of the internet"to your resume. I believe a career in janitorial science is well within your reach!

Not my fault you suck at evaluating talent.

AJ does a solid job even though I may see some things he doesn't. But often times he and I agree.

Another good get.  Welcome to Wisconsin, Mr. Barry.  You will love it in one of the best college towns this country has to offer.  Hard to beat a city situated on an isthmus.

Re: Barry Commits!

Makes sense.  Committed to Wisconsin and would have to pay out of pocket for an unofficial to Syracuse, right?  Seems like a lot of money to go check out a school you don't plan on attending.

Re: Barry Commits!

Is it me or does this kid have GREAT instincts?

When running the ball, he doesn't make many guys miss and doesn't run away from people but on defense he is all over the place. He Rarely gets blocked out of a play and makes offensive linemen miss their blocks on him all the time.

I know it's a highlight film but his ability to read and shoot a gap looks good.
