22 tackles and 1 interception as a junior. Not many clips on his highlight film.

Breaks the physical mold of our CB's, I'll say that for him.  I can't find any highlights which in this day and age is very unusual.

Looks like we have offers out to two of his teammates as well: X'zaviaen Ausborne and Willie Smith.

All I can find about him is that he ran an almost unbelievably slow 15.15 second 100m dash!!!!!!!

Of course that was in 2006 when he was 9 years old.  Sorry, couldn't resist scaring aj that way.

Glorious.

According to TOS, his teammate Ausborne has joined him in committing to the Badgers.

Seriously?  Something feels a little squishy about these commitments.

Ah.  Perhaps that is why the link to the story entitled "Texas Two-Step" was not functioning...

Re: 2015 CB Takadrae Williams, WI Commit

Much like in some of these big schools in Florida, in Texas you get some schools that seem to have most of their starters as D-1 offer guys.

Not only do you get a large number of offers out of these schools but these kids can get offers with very little production the year before.  Reason being they normally split time with another kid that likely was D-1 the prior year.  I know it is hard for many to fathom but these schools are loaded with big time talent in every class... only so many reps to go around.  These kids measurables are tremendous.

Ausborne is not slow, that's for sure.  He ran a 100m time in April that would win State almost every year in WI Division 1.

Re: 2015 CB Takadrae Williams, WI Commit

His complaint about the last verbal was he was not tall enough for his position. Applying that vein of logic -he should be happy.

Sorry, the link didn't work.  Anyway it was a 10.60 on the heels of  a 10.74 in the prelims.  You read that right.

That was me. CB and DE the same height = small defense for what they claim to want to do on defense.

So, speed. I hear that kills. pirate

I think Wisconsin football is evolving under Coach GA. Not Rich Rodriguez-like, but definitely shifting. (This is not a complaint, just to be clear.)

His teammate is the one with speed. You can watch this guy gets his ass blocked by the WRs on his teammates highlight film.

I like getting taller CB's so I like that, but he needs some work. It will be up to the coaches to get it done.

Also, if they take the commitment of that 5'8'' CB out of Georgia next weekend I will not be happy about that.

Call me skeptical about the level of "commitment" when kids say yes to a school without having visited. I will say at least UW presents itself well when the recruits get their first look.

It's interesting that the high school, South Oak Cliff, has 2 additional db's that committed to D1 schools - one to ND and one to OKL.

4 D1 DBs at one high school.

That school also has a running back that has committed to Texas.

That's weird because you are not a badger fan.

Yes, and those schools took the better DB's while we take the others without a visit or a camp evaluation.
