Big UW fan suffers health setback

Some here might not remember Jaxson Hinkens.

Some might not care all that much to know how he is doing.

But just in case, here is an update his family posted on CarePages.

He's had a reoccurence of cancer. Ugh.

Thanks for posting this JP. Of course I absolutely hated reading it. But I appreciate you continuing to follow this for us.

Here is the latest update forwarded to me.

Hello Family and Friends,

After almost two weeks in the hospital we are headed home. The doctors have upped the dosage of one of Jaxson's medicines that has helped his white blood cells to start producing more and after a couple of days of the higher dosage, his white cells have doubled. They are still low, but they are on their way up and the doctors say we can go home!

Jaxson is very excited to get home and get back in to his "normal" routine. He can't wait to see his friends and get to some baseball games and cheer his teammates on.

Thank you to everyone for all of your support and prayers. We couldn't get through this without each of you. We are so blessed to have you in our lives.

Fear Nothing!

Jaxson's family.

These situations are always very difficult but far worse when dealing with young kids.  Thanks to JP for the update and all the encouraging remarks by posters.  Challenge: the power of prayer is real, please follow through.
