That was pathetic.
3 straight terrible coaching jobs in the Rose Bowl.

Better take off those wet panties.
Well played (and called) game considering we do not have a QB.

Yes we do have a Quarterback. He played one play. Then sat on the bench the rest of the game.

You obviously have never seen a QB. George2k5 wrote: Yes we do have a Quarterback. He played one play. Then sat on the bench the rest of the game.

Re: That was pathetic.
If White catches that screen, it's probably a TD. If Frederick holds his block on the Ball screen, it's a TD. Hammond's drop was huge as well. I don't think Canada called a great game, but there were some execution issues as well.

Plays were there to be made but our guys didn't maximize opportunities. Two missed INT's...3 very odd calls by officials...bad call on 4th and goal

RE: That was pathetic.
BA put his trust in the OLine to win the game, which was there for the taking in the second half. Unfortunately, couldn't sustain drives, despite good field potion, and he wasn't going to start chucking the ball around with Phillips at QB. I can understand the thought process, but it's frustrating nonetheless - especially given the opportunities to make plays (Hammond, Smith INT, etc.) that weren't made.

Well played (and called) game considering we do not have a QB. We do have a QB, who posted a 150 QB rating this year, was cleared to play, and got one opportunity to pass which was a characteristic deep play action that hit a WR's hands.

RE: That was pathetic.
We were an un-ranked 5-loss team playing our 3rd string qb with a coaching staff who all have new jobs in about 15 minutes. Only 9 seniors on the team.
We were playing the #6 team in the country, the Pac-12 champs who beat USC, Oregon, and others.
About as close a game as could be expected. Like the last 2 RB games, we were just 1-2 plays from winning this one.
Proud of the players. Glad to see some coaches gone.

Correct me if I am wrong...this was the 3rd loss after TD's are called back due to holding calls.

Bottom line, our vets from Abby to white failed to make easy plays.
It's a called choking and for guys like Abby, becoming a habit

RE: That was pathetic.
White gets stuffed when he shouldn't have been on the field. Abbrederis drops a touchdown. Hammond drops a huge pass that would put us somewhere around the 25. Drew Meyer gets smashed on fourth down and what should have CLEARLY been 15 yards and a first down turns into five yards and a declined penalty. Not going for it on 4th and 1 when we needed something to happen. Going down the field essentially once the whole game. The list goes on and on. Absolutely terrible.

Very odd calls by the refs the lack of certain holding calls the "running into the kicker" that even herb admitted was roughing. Fact remains abby catches that first pass or hammond catches the one very different game.

RE: That was pathetic.
QB was the difference today. I love CPs story, but he just can't throw the ball. It seemed every other pass was tipped. He just does not have a feel for throwing in windows and his throwing motion doesn't help. I have no problem with him getting a 6th year, but really hope he is not the starter as his lack of throwing ability limits the passing game in a big way.

Bacchus you are 100% correct.
I feel bad for the kids...one play here or there...one catch, one pass breakup, one held block at a key moment and they win it.
They were whiplashed and didn't flinch...fought back and just didn't make the one play to win.
Time to move on from this crazy season and look forward to the GA era.

Re: That was pathetic.
I wonder if it was Barry who forced Canada to keep playing CP, or he took a hands off approach to the play calling and personnel packages and Canada made that call. I'm betting the former. I can't believe Canada didn't want Stave in there to put pressure on Stanford's defense a Badgers to open up te playbook

Poorly coached teams don't lose by 6 points in a hard fought game that appeared to be a mismatch. You should be proud of the performance

Blaming this on Barry is ridiculous, blame BB for putting the Badgers in a very tough position.

This thread is pathetic. We didn't make plays the whole game and it cost us. Thats not on the coaches. Hopefully the mistakes made by the younger guys push them all offseason. This team can be great next year.
On Wisconsin!

I don't think CP was spectacular, but he wasn't horrible. I also believe that Stave would have seen the turf way more than CP did today.

Why not play Stave?
