RE: Chad Kauhaahaa Officially Joins Badger Staff
This defensive staff is going to be insane when it is all said and done I just hope we can keep them all here, offensive side I am a little worried about unless it ends up being a home run hire.
Not removing until
1.Erin Rodgers regains his male name and learns to be a leader rather than a whiney stat whore.
2. Mike McCarthy learns how to play physical ball on offense rather than this finesse dome crap.
3. Green Bay leads the league in Rushing

I'd love to keep Bart Miller and Hammock. I trust Andersen though and I know Barry will do all the right things to help him

Think Miller and CP need to be priority to keep if at all possible a 50k buyout to keep CP def worth it.

RE: Chad Kauhaahaa Officially Joins Badger Staff
Seems like this guy and Nyborg have an undyin love for their Utah schools which turns me off a tad bit. But if they help us win, I'm all for it.

Re: Chad Kauhaahaa Officially Joins Badger Staff
Kauhaahaa turned down an offer to coach the defense for the University of Hawaii under Norm Chow in January.

KA-OO-UH-AH-HA-AH Pretty sure that's correct. The little marks are glottal stops, pronounced like the stop between the first and second syllable of "uh-oh".

Tidbit from the Coach Kauhahahahahahaha article: As a Utah recruiter, Kauhaahaa was responsible for Los Angeles, Hawaii and American Samoa. Hawaii has been Kauhaahaa’s recruiting area since he began his college coaching career in 2005.

BOOM there it is, Strick and Hammock with Miller maybe staying on, this staff is going to be nasty good
Bo Ryan's offense is officially dead and has been figured out by the B1G. The only way he can continue to coach it is if he significantly upgrades the players.-George2k5

I actually think the loyalty to a school (from his first tweet on the matter) is refreshing. The guys that act as if their previous school never really mattered are the ones that upset me. Judging from his Twitter pic, it looks as if Mr. Nyborg has 6 VERY young daughters. Picking up and leaving home and a comfortable situation is difficult enough, but uprooting a big, young family (if I'm reading the photo right) had to be a shock to the system. His latest tweet seems like he's on board: Zach Nyborg @ znyborg Great press conference today. Hope Badger fans have a great feel for what Coach A will bring to Wisconsin! Now time to work! Go Badgers!

Somebody else mentioned that Hawaii kids are not always stellar academically, but assuming that there are some islanders that can be admitted we might have a new recruiting pipeline. Sure, it's a long flight and a world away from Hawaii but so is northern Utah.

Re: Chad Kauhaahaa Officially Joins Badger Staff
"Kauhaahaa" -- what a wonderful phrase. "Kauhaahaa" -- won't allow no passing plays. It means "Quarterback hurries" on crisp Fall Saturdays... It's our Running D. Philosophy. "Kauhaahaa"

Might end up being the best defense in the Big Ten over night

Think he'll fit in nicely with a pronounced name of cow-ha-a-ha-a..
Taken from his 2011 Utah profile.

RE: Chad Kauhaahaa Officially Joins Badger Staff
SAw a phonetic breakdown on the pronuncioation that stated" "cow-ha-a-ha-a".
That jibes with what little I recall about the Hawaiian language and how every syllable is pronounced.
I think the difficult part for us Midwesterners wil be getting in that second Ha-a. No laughing matter as the dude is a heck of a coach from what I read.

RE: Chad Kauhaahaa Officially Joins Badger Staff
We finished second to BYU for a Polynesian LDS linebacker from Utah a few years ago before having any connection to the area. It will never replace Florida or Ohio, but a Samoan diaspora pipeline could probably produce on the level that California does for us.

Re: Chad Kauhaahaa Officially Joins Badger Staff
You have to think Hammock is in the running to be the OC at this point.

Keep the guy who has "Coached Doak Walker winner and NCAA TD leader" on his resume coaching and recruiting RB's for now. I loved the quote from Andersen about how the UW should be able to land any RB in the country. Keep the accomplished guy at your trademark position and get a guy with a lot more OC experience.
