GA is genuinely and thoroughly passionate about football -- to the core. He has an intrinsic allure about football that is mesmerizingly appealing. Beyond that and equally as important, he is an outstanding person.

All I can say is "Wow!" What a good speaker. I can see why the Utah State players loved playing for him. I believe our current players and recruits will, too.

The fact he doesn't need any notes tells me a lot. He's got his philosophy down pat. Very smart guy that is quick on his feet. The more he talks the more jacked I get for next season. You can see why he is a good recruiter. I think he brings us to a completely different level recruiting honestly. Guy just has a great demeanor.

Gary was sold on Wisconsin from visit to Madison w/ USU. Essentially he was committed before the Head Footabll Coach position was open.

I love the hire, but you do realize that they probably don't offer the job to someone unless they have already progressed in talks and believe they are likely to take it? Barry could have contacted 50 people for all we know, 49 of whom laughed in his face and said "Wisconsin sucks my balls", never offered them, an then offered Andersen....
I'm so sick of this "all you bedwetters" BS. People were allowed to have reasonable concerns without people declaring them chicken littles.

I don't have the quote but when he was talking about who would fill out his staff he said that there were some current assistants who would have some decisions to make. I suppose that could mean Hammock now that I think about it, but when I heard it I was thinking about other guys. And if he meant Hammock that at least implies that he's trying to keep him.
