Andersen's OC turned down the OC job at NC State that went to Canada and Andersen's DC turned down the DC job at Cal that went to Andy Buh. They can't be horrible. His OC runs a spread offense, as a matter of fact Andersen has always been involoved with spread offenses I believe....at least at Utah and Utah State. Canada came from a spread background and he did alright.

Re: If Andersen accepts he will take entire staff
Would still like for him to keep Strickland for sure! He has shown to be a strong recruiter here in southern WI. Plus he has the ins at the football factory schools such as Arrowhead, Brookfield East and West. Also like what Miller has done and hope even as an assistant of some sort that he stays. The kids like him and what he has brought to the line.

Re: If Andersen accepts he will take entire staff
Actually Andersen doesnt have anything to do with the offense, he is a defensive man, also I promise you right now BA told him he had to run a pro style for the most part, maybe a little spread here and there with White and Gordon
Bo Ryan's offense is officially dead and has been figured out by the B1G. The only way he can continue to coach it is if he significantly upgrades the players.-George2k5

Tony Jones @Tjonessltrib Source says offer from Wisconsin has been made...If Andersen accepts, he is expected to take entire coaching staff with him
Not so sure this a good thing....not at all.

Exactly. Strickland has made many good inroads with the WI hs coaches.

This news could really paint the Ben Herbert departure in an entirely different light. The USU coaching staff roster includes strength and conditioning coach Evan Simon. BA may have had to tell Herbert that the job was no longer his.

Sanford, the RB coach, took a job at Indiana State and was not a paid employee by USU as he was still on contract until the end of this year from UNLV.
This consideration is a head scratcher as Gary likes to recruit Polynesians. Does Wisconsin have a big Poly base?

Very excited by that staff! Great DC, excellent OC up and comer, strong S&C... We've done well with a lot worse staff than that, and recently!

Kansasspike wrote: Tony Jones @Tjonessltrib Source says offer from Wisconsin has been made...If Andersen accepts, he is expected to take entire coaching staff with him I have to imagine this is a little premature. Who knows what happens if Utah St turns around and offers the head job to one of Anderson's coordinators or if one of his position coaches gets offered a coordinator position to stay at Utah St. Not to mention maybe some of his coaches want to live in Utah and don't want to move. I doubt the entire staff comes to Madison. Let's see what happens over the next few days.

Potential snag in Anderson to Wisconsin negotiations
Andersen won't come without his assistants with him, but Barry Alvarez isn't willing to pay those "outrageous" salaries Utah State was paying them.

Funny because Andersen was only making 700K as Utah State head coach. I think we'll be ok.

This info somewhat dated now, but ALL the assistants only made $700k in 2011. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com...rise/51242232/1
