"prolong expiring jobless benefits"

"prolong expiring jobless benefits"

How long can this keep going on before it becomes a ridiculuos idea?  Its like a parent sending money to a kid in college with a 0.0 gpa. There's a point where we can't keep covering up the fact that there is a problem.  And aren't those on it going to start feeling entitled after a while.

Interesting article here: http://www.foxnews.com/health/...jor-depression/

Also, if raised now because of a "crisis", do any of you foresee it ever coming back down? Damn, 99 weeks of unemployment might be pretty enticing to some people.

This one issue puts a really good light on the Democratic objective; to appease the potential voter in any way they can to get votes and remain in power.

If a tree fell in the woods, would you still suck?

If a bear craps in the woods will it look and smell like Shoosh's mother?

I say yes.

I'm just glad Obama took a break from his 2 and a half year vacation to recognize that there is a jobs issue.  Good thing the election is next year.

Bloomburg says there will be "riots in the streets".  What would that accomplish.  O.K. someone would have to
clean up the streets and repair damaged property.  I guess that creates "jobs".  Have you noticed that "Bama's job-bill on purports to hire government workers, i.e., cops and teachers and folks standing 'round potholes on ready-shovels. Pass it NOW he says, like a damn parrot.  He is absolutely incompetent. Brilliant like a cockroach.

Amazing how his "job creation" is to just throw billions of dollars from taxes "taken" from Americans who have jobs, then develop unneccessary projects to give jobs to those who do not just so his jobless numbers rise.

Please, any Democrat out there, please tell me how these temporary jobs, being paid for by increasing taxes on fellow Americans, is a good plan to stimulate the growth of the economy.

Amazing, F-en amazing how stupid this guy thinks and hopes we all are.

You're mistaken.  He thinks we are smarter than we actually are.  He thinks that he can play above partisan politics and win.  The GOP are the ones who's whole platform is based on our stupidity.  Pretend you care about controversial issues, gays, religion, marriage, abortion, to get the vote, and then screw the people over so you can pander to the rich and large businesses.

Re: "prolong expiring jobless benefits"

No, Obama thinks people are stupid enough to think he is concerned about jobs, just because he took a break from his two and half year golf vacation to finally address the issue.   It is not a coincidence that he waited until election season.  Actually I think about a year ago he gave a speech where he told corporate America that they needed to do the right thing and hire people.  So there's that, I guess.
