RULZ, thanks for answering, I was wondering if part of the belief was based on Scripture.

I realize that message boards aren't the best place to have discussions and it's nearly impossible for anyone to actually change their mind on something.  Also, I know that we have never met, so whatever I say will not have any weight at all, but  I ask you to consider the following as what Scripture teaches is the heart of God in light of the whole of Scripture, rather than a verse here or there.

In regards to division amongst the nations/races, etc. - I think we can agree that the splintering of society is the result of sin.  Because of the fall, the harmony of the original creation was broken and everything (people, nature, everything) was affected.  Sin broke the relationship that people have with God and the relationship that people have with each other (as seen in the conflict between sexes and culminating in the Tower of Babel – the fracturing of humanity).  So division and conflict between people, even nations and races is the result of sin.

If you’d like at this point, we could discuss the call and covenant relationship of the kingdom of Israel and its purpose within the will of God, which would put some of the verses you quoted in perspective – but that’s a long discussion.  It’s one I’m happy to have if you wish, but if not we’ll skip down to the advent of the Kingdom of God in Jesus.

Scriptures say that through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, the effects of sin have begun to be reversed, that people, and creation, are being reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5, Colossians 1, etc.).  If the effects of sin are being restored through Christ (and through his body, the Church), then the division and conflict between nations/races should also be put aside and unity/harmony found in Christ, as Christ becomes our identity above any racial/national/political identities  (Galatians 2:28, Colossians 3:11).  Thus, those in Christ should be striving for racial unity.  

In summary, racial division is the result of sin and Christ came to remove the effects of sin, thus restoring unity/harmony to the races (among other things).  As Christians, should we further and promote something that is the effect of sin (division among the races) or should we promote the effects of the gospel (the unity and harmony of the races)?

This is obviously not the entirety of the gospel, but it is how the gospel informs our outlook on division between nations/races.  The gospel strives to restore all thing and seek reconciliation.

To hijack that text and make it about race is bad exegesis. You are entitled to your own opinion but if you are going to use Scripture to back up your point its better if it given in proper context
