I know that this thread is a little premature but what does Buzz need to do to put our guys in the best positon to beat Miami.  In my opinion, the best shot in winning the game is for Buzzdelick to get 2 quick technicals and be ejected from the ball game.  Better yet if Miami didn't show up that would probably give us the best chance.

Were it in Coral Gables I wouldn't be worried, but we could easily lose we have not been sharp on the road.

Methinks the faint of heart are safe on this one.  No nailbiter .  "Wait'll next year."

Maybe if we kidnap Larkin and hide him until the game is over.

My thoughts on the Miami game.....makes me think of my favorite TV show --for you old timers.   "Andy Griffith Show".  
When ole Barney wants to make Ernest T behave and act civil --- he tells Andy he'll straighten him out and teach him some lessons/manners.  Wise Andy simply says ...'he'll kill you'.

That's pretty much what I think will happen....they'll kill us.

kernersvillan, the reason why I had to steal the thread from you is because," We need you to play saturday for the Deacs to give us any chance agains't Miami!  I won't you focused on the game, and not some thread so rest up because you might be doing so much clapping that you might get Carpal Tunnel from this game which may require surgery in the future with the rest of the team. Which come to think of it you might be able to draw disability off of it in the future? So rest up my friend and if you get a chance how about doing your fellow Deacon Brothers a favor, and give Buzz a right and a left for all of us!

From a matchup perspective..... We don't have foot speed up top to defend Larkin. We don't have the beef down low to defend paint.

What I would do......play Madison early on Larkin, get into his body and try to get him rattled, even if it costs us a few fouls early. Consider zone to limit fouls on Devin. Also would allow us to play small and run on offense.

My prediction..........we'll do nothing different from what we've been doing. They'll pound it early and Larkin will look to penetrate, all to get Devin saddled with fouls. About 10 in he'll pick up his second and go to the bench. They'll shoot 60% from the floor, mostly in the paint before the threes start falling. We lose 75-58

Let's cover all the scenarios.........

1) Miami is quicker, bigger, stronger, deeper bench, more experienced and better coached.  We play terribly on the road.  Miami should win comfortably, especially after being in a couple close games recently.  They will be re-focused. Doesn't matter how we play.( 15-40pt win for the Canes)

2) Miami is everything in point 1, except focused on playing well....they take us lightly, play poorly, and win ugly but without drama at the end ( 6-12 pt win for the Canes).  All politically correct Deacons say this is proof of improvement despite being a poor game by Miami.

3) We self destruct and it's ugly....what Miami does doesn't even matter. Unwatchable by us and more gas on the Bz-out fire. No prediction on the score 'cause Larranaga is a decent guy and will play the scrubs early and often if it's a rout.

4) We play hard, well, lucky and make a game of it....win or lose the bz-inners will shout from the rooftops that we're really showing improvement.  If we win the quad will get rolled, and if we lose the refs will be blamed.  There will be little response from the Bz-outters save for the knashing of teeth that this is a lifeline for Coach Bz.

I agree with all of this except for the minor detail that this is a home game for the Deacs.

If Buzz got two quick technical fouls it would be the most emotion he has ever shown coaching a game. Usually need to check him for a pulse. Of course he likes to yell at Miami fans.

Make sure you wear a sun dial as a watch And warm up with Buzz on the court by doing some meditation and Yoga! I'm going to listen to Buzz radio show tonight maybe he can tell me his mighty game plan agains't the U!
