OK, so is this board really full of Bz-Inners? Let's find out....

How much longer should he be given?

  1. Poll closed on 02/24/2013
  2. Only the rest of this season or less: 112 votes
  3. 1 more season but must meet some W/L goal: 35 votes
  4. 2 year extension: 7 votes
  5. Still undecided until after this season is over: 15 votes

Re: Bzdelik's Future

Personally I am assuming bad losses to Miami and NC State, a close loss to UMD, and at FSU and VT at home as toss ups, but the actual outcomes don't mean that much at this point with regard to the question.....unless you fall in the last bucket.

I wanted him gone after his first year. I wrote Wellman then to express my displeasure.

I say fire him after the next game if he gives the ball to the biggest choker ever at the end of the game. Ridiculous.

Cary: You didn't have a circle for : "NONE of the above".  I think that's closer to where we are since the coach, Ad and the Adm. clinch their teeth in silence while the premises burns down. BTW, I hold the players
blameless.

With one exception, none of them have practiced or played a single game at the college level under a head coach not named Bz.

CJ has. He is the one that is suppose to be our best player at the end of the game. Hasn't worked out to good has it?

You are such an obtuse *********. You continuously point to a specific decision, or blame the players, or deflect blame from your hero. Answer me this, for some reason despite players changing, over the last 6 years bzzzz teams have ranged from bad to absolutely horrible. Who is to blame for that?

According to Jason, coaches get paid millions but don't change the outcome at all. He should advise Hatch, could save Wake a lot of money.

Re: Bzdelik's Future

I do not believe the only criteria in a Wake Forest Coach position description is to win ball games. Since these are college students and it is Universities responsibility to attempt to prepare them for the future of their life, I believe inclusions may be grades, attending class, citizenship, hard work at team practice, and follow team rules. I would think the coaches would be charged with each student he chooses for development. Of course, win/loss as long as it fits the guide lines provided, would be a line item. I am sure bonuses are outlined for achievement. It is my opinion all of our coaches are charged with more responsibility than just wins in guiding these students.

And this everyone is why we ******* suck. Winning and losing doesn't matter..... Then why pay someone a million $'s to coach a bball team. Hell why even have a basketball team if not to win basketball games. Why not give the 12 scholarships to other students.

RE: Bzdelik's Future

The things you are referring to go without saying and are the barest expectations of any coach. There are hundreds of coaches across the country that could fulfill them. Winning consistently should be expected of Wake Forest basketball. Jeff Bzdelik has not shown any evidence he is capable of that over three years.

Re: Bzdelik's Future

You are absolutely correct. There are great mentors across the country. However you may find a football, basketball, golf, tennis, or field hockey coach that is more interested in winning than the future of their students. You occasionally read about them. I was referring to all coaches.

Re: Bzdelik's Future

Wake has become a clean program under Mr.Bzdelik, always give a coach at least 4-5 seasons to get a firm handle on recruiting, this also allows him to set up an offensive system.

RE: Bzdelik's Future

When was wake not a clean program? You are out of your god damn mind if you think in college athletics ANY coach gets 4-5 years of losing. Out of your mind.

RE: Bzdelik's Future

I get tired of the under the radar messages some posters put out there along with the trumpeting of culture. Just say it. You want us to be white bread. Scared of anything that smacks of urban, hip hop, or an edge. James Johnson was probably your worst nightmare. Lowf needs to be as non threatening and conservative as possible. Forget any chances at Shaka. He is too scary for some of y'all. Whatever bobeheads moves were made in the past, how long can these kids be dragged through the mud before Buzz can stop using them as a human shield? Judge him based on what he's done on the court.
