Next up: Seton Hall

What do we know?  Here is their site.

Fortunately, Herb Pope is gone.  That guy just killed us.

Currently, they are 6-2 with losses to LSU and Washington.  No common opponents, yet.  They haven't beaten anyone good yet, but they haven't lost to anyone terrible yet, either.

(had a box of scores here, but skewed the post -- go to link)

They currently have three guys averaging double-figures, (Edwin 18.4, Teague 13.3, Cosby 11.4).  Overall, they average 71 ppg, and hold opponents to 60.  They also have held opponents to under 39% FG so far.  Two guys (Edwin, Smyth are shooting over 50% from 3 on 33 attempts).  Overall, they shoot 39% from 3.

As a team, they average just under a 1:1 A/TO ratio.  Maybe a good thing for the Deacs, as ball control has not been a strength thus far.

Edwin is a 6-6 G/F -- could be a tough cover.  (JR)

Teague 6-9, C  (R Jr)

Cosby, 6-3 G  (Soph)

Smyth, the other 3-point threat, is 6-4. (Graduate Student)

Curious connection to ACC:  Brian Oliver, formerly of Georgia Tech, is on the roster. (R Jr)

Would really like to see Travis and CJ continue their play from the 2nd half the other night.

Agree with CaryDeac-- key for Wake is Travis and CJ playing well, and shooting well...  We have a  chance if they do; amd our freshmen continue to improve...

They are #79 in Ken Pomeroy. No chance.

What's Bz's record against KenPom's top 100? Can't be good.

3-33.  When people say that the Staak years were as bad or worse, they don't fully appreciate that record.

Hell, Staak had a win over the #1 team in the nation during his run.

Wow, is that true, Chris?

I think it is 3-34 now after the Richmond loss.  The 3 are Iowa and Virginia in year one and VT last year.

Holy crap that is insanely bad. The other amazing thing is that gaudio and skip played less than a third of their games against teams ranked lower than 100, yet bzzzz has played almost half his games against teams under 100 and still has a well below .500 record overall. That is so pathetically bad. It's almost inconceivable that record was amassed by the coach of a major conference team.

Wow, that's amazing. I put some of the blame on the players, but man, that is really a damning indictment of Bzzz with each passing game.

So did WF. Just over 50 years ago.

Based on final four appearances, this shaping up to be an evenly matched game.

Watching on espn3 and this might be the best effort of the year. 20-16 Deacs. Still early.

CJ is unconscious. If he can shoot like this every night we'll have a pretty decent team.
