We are leading for RB Grayson
Go to Rivals. And click on the Grayson article, and he has us leading, and it abounds like he's about to commit to the Deacs! That would be a great get!

He would be a helluva big play threat for our O.

Grayson combined with the offensive linemen that have committed would be huge for the future of this program.

Same coaches will equal same results, no matter who the players are.

No, not the same coaches- Hood, Lambert others gone, and the kids we are recruiting now were just getting into middle school. They have no idea. The Orange bowl means nothing to them. Like in sales, it is what have you done for me lately. If you can't see our football program has serious issues you can feel better by knowing our basketball program is in the hands of a former NBA coach. How is that working for you?

Making a blanket declaration that this coaching staff is hopeless and can't experience success regardless of the talent level doesn't jibe with the facts.

Would have to agree with BillyBob. We may have some problems right now, but this staff has many on it who have led us to great things. No reason to throw a blanket over it.

RE: We are leading for RB Grayson
We led for that receiver that committed on signing day to UNC as well. If he commits in the next few weeks then great. If he doesn't and it drags out to national signing day we won't get him.

Re: We are leading for RB Grayson
Grayson has indicated that he wants to commit soon, didn't read the new Rivals article but I hope that's still the case.
I never felt like we'd get Quinshad Davis - he was a hat-picker from the start. We will never get a hat-picker. We just ain't sexy enough.

Re: We are leading for RB Grayson
Agree, plus why wouldn't a WR not want to play in that system at Carolina.

Re: We are leading for RB Grayson
Yeah 81, if you go to the Rivals site on the wake board you will see Grayson on the front page you can click on it, and read a good article for free were he talks about how Wake just seems to be the right fit! He like the small size campus, but its not to small, he like the facilities are improving by the minute, and coach Grobe. He also hints that he maybe able to see the field sooner rather then later! I don't know how to put a link on here but I'm going to learn, but everyone who hasn't went over to Rivals, and read the article I think you would enjoy it!

Re: We are leading for RB Grayson
A key factor in getting Grayson, will be whether he thinks he is going to red shirt, or not.

Re: We are leading for RB Grayson
1979 the way grayson hints its like he knows he can come in and play right away, and Grobe told me at a practice before the Clemson game that we needed a runningback bad, and he said they ought to be able to get a good back, because their selling point to a kid was you can come in, and play right away, and thats what he told me 1979!

Might as well go ahead and tell JRoc to back his bags and go sulk elsewhere.

Re: We are leading for RB Grayson
You might be right SteveWhite! But Grobe did say that if they landed a running back that he would come in and play!

Re: We are leading for RB Grayson
caracal, I agree 100% those days of putting players on the shelf that can help us win now will be over, and if everyone will listen, and think about this statement, look at how many players that we have that don't even make it to their Junior, and Senior years, by wether they transfer, or graduate, or even get beat out by younger more talented players! So heck with this redshirting crap we need to win now, so let a players play now if he can help us to win!

caracal25 wrote:The days of redshirting entire classes will soon be a thing of the past. THANK GOODNESS. I am over red-shirting entire classes. Lets play the best players no matter what. Think about the fact that the following year if the young guys who are good enough to play in fact play then by the time they are soph and jrs they will be experienced seasoned ball players. Also the fact that recruits who come in like a Georgia firecracker usually are fizzled out to nearly nothing mentally by the time they red-shirt a year and then sit and watch a year or two while a upperclassmen with maybe the same amount of talent gets all the reps and play.
