We are baaaad. An almost comedic first quarter. What, three fumbles and a pick so far? Thousands of empty seats. We've hit rock bottom.
The good news is, we can only get better next season....

Not many people commenting on this poor showing tonight. You are right in saying we are bad, but incorrect in saying we can only get better next season. Very sad.

This is the worst we have played in a long time - not sure if the timing of the coaching change is the cause, but we are just terrible and I feel sorry for the players, coaches and those of us who care about Vanderbilt athletics.

What GOOD coach in his right mind would come and take this team? It will take a huge amount of money and probably a 5-6 year contract...Guaranteed! I mean this team is playing a very poor Wake team and getting waxed at home. Nothing good about any position out there. I cant see any coach with a bright future coming here. This team is simply brutal to watch.

Certainly are making us all proud with this performance. No heart, no effort, no talent. This is a JOKE of a football team, that get's worse as the season goes on. I'm glad we don't have to play Eastern Michigan again. How can they hold their heads up?

Maybe we could get Brad Childress. He could bring Brett Favre along as offensive coordinator and install a decent west coast offense. Since they get along so well.

Forget that thought that we might win in the ACC. This is the worst team in that league, and they look like Wisconsin or Oregon against us.
Maybe we could just drop the program. This game would not have sold out if it had been played at Hillsboro High School. The cost of electricity will exceed the revenue from this game.
So, who plays at QB if Funk goes down? I doubt Goro wants to play, and Smith appears to be too injured. Maybe, we could just punt on first down.
Seriously, if Funk plays the rest of the way, he could top 60 pass attempts in his one start.

tonight has been the pits; it really, REALLY shows once and for all how bad this offensive coaching staff has been. On one particular drive, we are getting like 9 yards per carry with the qb, with Reeves, etc., running through gaping holes, and we just start hoisting the ball every other down to the clouds for no reason whatsover?  Is this staff truly incapable of comprehending the idea that when something is working well, you stick with it until the defense stops it? I understand that offenses require balance, but hell, Wake has NOT stopped our running game tonight, it's just that we'd rather throw it when we have no qbs and no wide receivers! The total yards are damn-near even at the half, and we really only have one halfway big passing play; the yards are coming on the GROUND, coaches! Truly amazing, really. The customary reverse to Krause would probably be a td tonight, but we haven't even thought about trying it. MIKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEE LEACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHH AND I DON'T CARE HOW DEAD A HORSE HE IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  "Don't drop an H-bomb on the old fishing hole."

I thought when we won a bowl game that was going to help us start moving forward, towards the upper half of the division...we would be at the bottom of the OVC. How did we get this far down? Is these best recruiting classes really this bad?
