I honestly wonder if embarrassment might be the only thing that gets the powers that be off their rear ends and decide whether or not they're willing to make a big league committment to have a Stanford type program.

It didn't during the 90s under Dinardo and Dowhower, when we got embarrassed quite a few times. I remember a 65-0 pasting at home at the hands of Tennessee specifically.

I think you're right actually, so that does make some sense. I remember that being the first time I was really embarrassed to be a VU fan at a game.
