I'm shocked, shocked, that the Old Confederacy voted against the black guy.
Never saw that coming.

RE: More post-election racist incidents at Ole Miss
Seeing as how the link relates to continuing instances of events which pre-date the election, of course the continuing incidents are now solely the result of the election results........NOT!
You keep warping current events to fit your twisted view of reality, hoyal.

MY twisted view? I'm not the one committing racist hate acts. Where is your condemnation of the people perpetrating the crimes?
Oh, wait... the torch carrier of all that is angry-white-male-conservative must come to the rescue of his political bed-fellows in Mississippi and deflect the attention from their conduct and basically excuse it.
I officially go on record as condemning racist acts and hate crimes. Who is with me? (we know who is not)

I'm with you. Hate crimes are abhorrent - relics of a period in time we should have moved past by now.
But take it for what it is - ignorant bigots living in the past and stop trying to tie it to the election. The article clearly indicated that. Didn't you see it?

VU2K3PL, I know. He loves to ding RWNJ's, labelling them as racists- even when there is no political link.
That is one of the ways racism persists in today's society. But if noone points out that he is helping to perpetuate the problem, how will he ever learn?

I never get what bhoyal is trying to accomplish with threads like these.
Noone is denying there is still racism in this world (news flash, there will always be racism). Some Republicans are racists as are some Democrats.
He is trying to pick a fight.

A man once said: "There is a limit to how right you can be, but wrongness can be infinite" That is how I feel about the bigotry of the American right wing xtian tea party nut-job klan. They are wrong to a degree that is a disgrace to our nation. It's off the chart. No amount of pollyanna false equivalences can cover for it. This isn't the heydey of the John Birch Society, but you would never know that when they call gay American citizen dogs. You would never know that when they scapegoat a tiny minority religion to cover a lie in an attempt to pretend xtian persecution that doesn't exist. And if that goes on here, on the forum of fans of a very enlightened university, what are conservatives like everywhere else??? The views on highly racist sites such as "stormfront" don't vary all that much from views of the average die-hard republican and are almost in distinguishable from most tea party aficionados.
Don't like this dose of reality? You know where the "ignore" button is. Knock yourself out.

1. I read the post that you have referred to over and over again where you claim gays were called dogs. That is simply not true and mischaracterizes the post. 2 I think you are full of more hate (and also more crap) than any prejudiced, xtian, right wing nut job on this sight.

Re: More post-election racist incidents at Ole Miss
#1 - MEGA-FAIL on the "he was taken out of context" B S - period. He said it. Showed no remorse or regret. Acted proud of it actally.
#2 - "I know you are but what am I" might score some points in a 1980s movie but does nothing to change the racist/homophobic/anti-semitic habits of conservative America. The good news is that your numbers are dwindling. If you don't like being called out on what your side stands for - then do something about it. Try to change it from the inside instead of being in denial that the problem exists. But that would mean ditching the "self-appointed-torch-bearer-of-all-that-is angry-white-conservatives" (a byproduct of the election loss).

Maybe if you listened to the average die-hard republicans on this board rather than constantly posting your bigoted spiel towards them, you might learn to put your own discrimination aside. There is hope for you, but you must first learn to love your fellow man rather than hating those that are different from you.

Tell the leaders and strategists of the American right wing factions that and see where it gets you. Hate and ridicule are the foundation of what they stand for, at least especially since 1988. And the results? 1988 - it worked, a landmark win for RW bigotry 1992 - loss1996 - loss2000 - disputed election results - lost popular vote2004 - very narrow win 2008 - loss2012 - lossWhile ut football fans are stuck back in the glory days of 1998, RWs think they are still living in 1988 running against Dukakis. To quote Steely Dan - those days are gone forever, over a long time ago.

The average die hard republican doesn't share any view points with these racist groups. However, hate and ridicule towards the average die hard republican are traits you seem to share with these groups.
Perhaps Matthew 7:5 will help you?

But it's because "y'all" hate everything and everybody. Let's all pray to Zeus... Zeus, I come to you as humbly as I know how to pray for the haters out there, Yes Zeus please bless all the haters so they can get a life even though they don't really deserve your grace and understanding... bless them oh Zeus that they get some common sense and stop talking nonsense.
