Cheating already taking place in Philly

"The Philadelphia GOP is reporting that court appointed Minority (read GOP) Inspectors are being thrown out of polling locations in several Wards.

The Philadelphia Inquirer is on it:  https://twitter.com/tomfitzger...784062617206785

These Inspectors are election officials – again, court appointed — and are reportedly being thrown out by the Head Judges of Elections (these Judges are elected Democrats).

This has happened at the following locations:

This on top of all the rigged ballots machines we saw in Ohio, Carolina, and Nevada casting Romney votes for Obama.  Chicago style politics at its finest.  Romney doesnt need to just beat the margin of error but the margin of fraud.  Hopefully justice will prevail!

Are they violating the rules? Are they harassing minority voters?  Highly likely, as GOP monitors have been reported doing this all over the country.

But yeah, get your spin ready.

Speaking of Philadelphia...

Cool it fldore. There's more than enough "fraud" accusations coming from the other side, too - do you really want to invite the opening of those floodgates?

Seriously, get outta here with that baloney. You're cutting 'n pasting stuff that some rightwinger simply made up.

The reality is that the Romney family OWNS a fair percentage of the Ohio voting machines, which were manufactured by a company owned by a loyal republican donor-&-state-campaign-chairman. The owner of another voting machine manufacturing company went on to become a republican senator (bouyed by suspiciously large vote percentages from minority-dominated voting districts). In 2004, a check of Florida voting machines prior to deployment revealed that several had been "pre-loaded" with hundreds of GOP votes.

To the extent that systematic voting machine fraud has occurred in this country, it's been pro-GOP fraud.

And to the extent that voter suppression has occurred in recent elections, & is occurring this past week & today, it's been engineered entirely by GOP-controlled state legislatures and statehouses. See Florida; see Ohio; see Pennsylvania: the list goes on & on.

The GOP, the party of voter suppression, has zero moral high ground to stand upon with respect to American voting. Just because the GOP's cheating isn't quite illegal doesn't render it ethical in any way, shape or form.

Relax, Romney hasn't even lost yet

You're supposed to lose first, then whine about "cheating."

Doing it the other way around is the mating call of the loser.

RE: Cheating already taking place in Philly

GOP shenanigans aside, how is it kosher to kick out court-appointed monitors, if that, in fact, is what is happening? And to what end?

According to Fox News, this is not unprecedented or out of the ordinary in Philly, given the nature of how the monitors are selected. How dare Faux News give such an unbiased report of the situation!

Mutually Assured Destruction. That's what it's called, in the Big Picture view.

I can understand why you don't care for it, ORDore. It is, viewed from any perspective, ghastly. And yet it did save humanity from annihilation once or twice in the previous century. And it appears to be the only thing that might keep American politics from annihilating America in this century.

Our elected representatives, democrats & republicans, no longer share any common ground. That's just a fact. And their districts have been gerrymandered such that we, the American people, can no longer elect representatives who will share common ground.

Therefore the only thing that will force them to cooperate will be dire shared threats. Like the financial cliff, like default on the debt. Of course, the direness of the threat has to be understood by both parties, & the Tea Party is currently having trouble wrapping their little minds around it. I don't say they're dumb, just intellectually very lazy.

verbilt... I brought this up a few weeks back... the chairman of the Ohio election commission, Jayme Smoot, is a Democrat.  How did her/his office let this happen?

EDIT - not sure if Jayme is a guy or a girl... so I changed it to read his/her office

The GOP observers have been reinstated by the elections court.

Honestly, this sounds a lot more like handbags than real fraud.

Is this for real?  Hopefully this is a staged photo and there is a Romney picture next to it.  This looks like something you'd see from a narco-dictator in central america.  El Presidente!

Yep, if it's real, I can certainly understand that Fox would be all over it. It really should have been covered over for the election. And hopefully this kind of thing (glorifying the president in minority schools, in order to boost self-esteem of the kids) won't ever be repeated again (at least, until our first Hispanic president is elected).

Minority schools should glorify mothers & fathers and not dependence on government.
