Re: Review of Hawkins Field

I think this would've been a much more favorable review had it been an SEC game. It's just a different atmosphere for those games.  One other note, if he thinks our baseball concessions are bad, he should come check out a football or basketball game.  Pretty terrible options for those games.  At least baseball has a burger/sausage tent, frozen lemonade, and a couple of other vendor options.

That article is such a joke.

He said it himself the weather was nasty. And LOOK at the picture. As his main grievance was lack of fans, what the hell did he expect???

Let him come on a sunny day against a conference opponent.

Don't forget ...

I wrote the guy a blistering response (thanks for the added ammunition prior posters gave me.) To come on a rainy day and expect to make a fair assessment is shoddy journalism, at best.

If you want to help counter this quack's rating, log on to the site and do your own rating ... I have already done so. His score was 2.7 ... mine was 4.3 (I tried to be honest, as the concessions is definitely lacking by almost anyone's standards.)

Re: Cookie Man

Saw the Korean War vet at the basketball game Saturday and bought a couple cookies. From the packaging, it appears as though he did not bake the cookies at home ... but they are very good.

Oh well, at least they taste like home-cooked cookies.
