Baseball team signing posters Thursday night the 10th

They'll be in the practice gym during halftime of the Kentucky game to sign posters (which looks great!)

Also, baseball schedule magnets being given away.

Wonderful event!

The line was extremely long and I was near the end of it, but Coach Corbin and all of the players -- I've got about 35 signatures on a 14-inch x 36-inch full color poster -- stayed until every fan was satisfied.

I missed the first 10-minutes of the second half of the basketball game, but it was well worth it. The players introduced themselves and showed what really great guys they are: "How are you, Sir? My name's _____. Thanks for coming out here tonight." That sort of thing. It wasn't scripted or robotic.

The conversations were brief because there were still some folks behind me, but I may have said "I expect to see you guys in Omaha" or "You should be our starting (whatever) this year." And they would reply "Thanks for your confidence", "We'll try do what we can", or "Whatever is best for the team."

The only thing I would change (and I mentioned this to David Williams when I returned to my seat for the end of the basketball game) would be to put up some TV monitors so the fans could keep up with the game as well. A radio feed may have been sufficient. Instead, now I have to watch the start of our big comeback on the ESPN replay and listen to Bob Knight's Commodores bashing.

If you missed this event, don't forget the Banquet

Saturday night, Feb. 9th, at the Student Life Center.  You'll be glad you came!

Have you received your tickets yet?  Ordered mine some time ago, but haven't seen them.

I don't believe there are any tickets, your name will be on a list at the door is my understanding.

2013 Baseball Banquet tickets on sale - Vanderbilt Official Athletic Site

Great event as CTC introduces each member of the team and talks a little about each. There is also a silent auction.

Baseball banquet is my favorite Vandy fan event of all

The Baseball Banquet is awesome.
meet and talk to every player ... check
get every autograph either on a poster or baseball cards or a ball or a glove or a hat or whatever you want ... check
bid on cool auction items ... check
chow down on baseball food seated amongst the players ... check
see highlight video of 2012 season ...check
into of every single player by Corbs; uses no notes; knows the player's entire family, including sibs as well as the sibs accomplishments; tells humorous as well as serious anecdotes ... check

Seriously, this is more than worth the money you pay.

The banquet is a fantastic kickoff to the season. This will be my first time to attend the event but have watched the previous 2-3 years live on All-Access. And it is not made available later, so it you don't see it Feb 9, you don't see it.
