He has two arbitration years, and next year he will be in the same boat of signing a new deal or taking it to the judge. The word is that the small market Rays simply won't have the cash to sign him long term. I'm sure they would love to do it, and they have been good about tying up some of their younger guys like Longoria. However, if DP was a free agent today, he would be in that 7-10 yr deal at $20M per year range. Don't be surprised if a big market puts 8 years and $200 M on the table at the end of 2014.
