When DP gets his contract extension, I think we'll have a few extra bucks to start.  Unfortunately, the Rays likely won't be able to afford him, but the guys in MLB circles are speculating whether Price or Kershaw will be baseball's first $200M pitcher.

There is a youtube video (which I would link, but can't access youtube here at the office) where some of the Vandy players showed off their facilities like the old show "MTV Cribs".  The video is probably about 2 years old since Sonny, Navery and Esposito are giving the tour.  In any case, they show a brief glimpse of the "Professional" locker room which is where the players who train here have a permanent locker.  Pretty cool idea.

But the most interesting thing is the pitching "lab".  No wonder pitchers come here to train and so many pitchers choose Vandy.  It is really impressive.  Facilities matter in recruiting and the Vandy baseball training facilities are second-to-none.

I remember that video, too. The underground pitching room below the football stands is a sight to behold. I always wondered what was behind that door ever since I saw Sonny run in there between innings of one game he was pitching.
