Which is insane. Though in the SEC alone there are so many talented pitchers. I think last year's ERAs really hurt our preseason accolades. The rough start was tough.

Too many question marks for any of our guys to be on the list. Pec was most likely, but he's still under18 months off from TJ surgery. Ty and Z weren't sufficiently consistent last year, but there are no questions re: their potential.
After all, we want guys on the list at the end of the year, not the preseason. :)

Yes, but it's completely unrealistic for Pec and Beede to have made the list, given that neither played in the Cape League (I think Pec maybe was there for a week and a half, IIRC). Without summer performances in front of scouts and writers, they weren't going to have the buzz. On the other hand, Z had summer buzz, but was so erratic last year that he was highly unlikely to earn a spot (he kept himself in the talk for a first day draft selection, though).
