Re: Castellano leaving?
Kids leaving to get playing time is something every talent laden team has to deal with. These kids grow up dreaming about playing professional ball, not playing ball at Vanderbilt University. Some kids are deluded, but I would think most kids who are good enough to play for the Commodores have a legitimate shot of being drafted and getting a shot at playing at the next level. The thing about sitting is, "it doesn't make you better." You have to play to get better. I feel that once you are out of the lineup you are on a dangerous downhill slide. The guys you are competing with are getting their innings and their at bats in real games and your stuck hitting in the cage. Even the high school kid who is coming up next year is playing and getting live at bats. If you aren't playing your dream can slip away real fast.
