I hope that our staff becomes one of the best in the nation as you mention. Last year we gave up more BB than we got which was one of many indicators of a mediocre season. What was encouraging is that our staff was much stronger towards the end of the season than it was during the begining. I hope we have the pitching accuracy that TC/DJ teams are famous for right from the start. It will depend, in part, on whether Mr. Pecoraro is fully recovered and on whether Mr. Z regularly hits his spots and stays away from the center of the plate, but stays tight enough on the edges to get strike calls. Young Mr. Beede was hit hard early in the season, but was very good towards the end of the season and the results showed. The 7 innings of shutout pitching againt Kentucky in May was a life-saver for the team.
