Those Friday nights with Price were classic. A young newcomer on one of the SEC teams would go out there full of vim and vigor with absolute confidence he could hit anyone. He'd maybe heard of VU and Price, but most young players have heard that sort of thing a hundred times, never paid it no mind and wasn't going to start now. He's spit aggressively, take a few hardy swings to stretch, adjust his helmet then his cup and settle into the batters box with a swagger, arms stretched high with a good bit of grit in his teeth. Inevitably, a few pitches later he'd be walking back to the dugout, his head down muttering to himself "What the heck am I supposed to do with that?"
