Agreed.  The AD made the bizarre statement that the decision was "not based solely on wins and losses."  This statement came just weeks after he said that Coach Taylor had "an outstanding reputation" and "[t]his is just unfortunately one of those years even the great ones have."

Of course, the real point of this post was that Vanderbilt should fire Stallings because ODU fired its coach, so I see no need to let additional facts get in the way of that point.  Of course, we no longer see the OP referencing John Groce at Illinois as an example of the coach we need to hire (i.e., the "Jeff Lebo Memorial Coaching Slot") since Illinois collapsed just like it did last year under Bruce Weber - who, interestingly enough, has guided Kansas State to the #13 ranking in the country.
