I really can't say that I care. A pox on both their houses. I would be rooting for Ole Miss big time, except for you-know-who.

They've shut bigmouth Slim Shady up tonight....

Hard to pull for the Cats, but Ole Miss has elevated themselves to big orange level of dislike for me lately.

I didn't see how it could hurt vanderbilt any for Ole Miss to log an L although we are kind of out of the running, but I really have been hearing some bad things about the white punk so I had to root for the Cats tonight. I heard that white thug taunted Auburn or something after a game recently. Anyways, he had that smile wiped off his face after this one.

I wish we had another chance at that last play tonight in ours but oh well...

Ole Miss is going to have to suit up members of the Khmer Rouge before I'll root for Yoo Kay against them. I would like Yoo Kay to lose every game in every sport--except when they play Yoo Tee, in which case I root for natural disasters.

I hope Ole Miss is taken to the woodshed by every team they play. That includes UTK.

Wasn't Phnom Penh Tech one of the schools that Marshall Henderson played for before arriving  in Oxford?

My sympathies exactly.

To be honest, I'm surprised there are any members of this board who feel otherwise.  All it takes is attending one Vandy-Kentucky game at Memorial and the hatred just descends upon you with the first "Go Big Blue" chant.

Exactly. I wavered a bit back in the early 90s, when it had been a while since I was a student. Then I went to the NCAA sub-regional at Memorial in 1993, which featured Kentucky, and all the loathing came right back. I'll never backslide again...

I'll admit, I will pull for anybody, and I mean anybody, after watching this punk piece of trash in a few games. I have never wanted a kid to get hurt, but hoping someone lays a well-timed elbow to this punks jaw. If Kennedy doesn't stop this, I hope the SEC steps in.

I attended that sub-regional also and continue to have nightmares about it.  Apparently we were 2 of the 30-40 people in attendance rooting for Utah.

Absolutely I would pull for Ole Miss if there were five Hendersons starting against UK.  No way I am rooting for UK in ANYTHING!  Nothing, nada, zilch!!!

Yep. You couldn't pick me out, though, because I was in a Wake Forest section, so I just blended in with their colors. Poor Utah--I think that was the first of something like four consecutive NCAA trips where they lost to Kentucky, including the national title game.

Funny, while obviously there were other teams like Wake and games there all I can remember after all these years is the hideous sight of 14,000 UK fans in my home gym and the whole place rocking to the chant of Go Big Blue. I remember my brother was visiting too and it was hard to explain why there were seemingly zero other Vandy people who just went because we were hosting. It's still sort of traumatizing and probably a big part of the reason I've still never set foot in Rupp (though I wish I went during the Billy Clyde years when we owned them).

Yeah, there weren't many other fans there. Wake had a few dozen at best and there were a few more from Utah and Iowa, but that was about it. Meanwhile I think many of us were watching our own SEC champs play out west (I forget where).

The weird thing for me is that I actually lived in Texas at the time, rather than Nashville. But I saw that we were hosts and got my tickets early on, figuring I'd be unlikely to be able to afford to just pick up and follow our team somewhere else on four days' notice. It ended up being a rather surreal experience, like a "what if"-style sci-fi movie set in a universe where all the Vanderbilt fans were replaced by Kentucky fans. Not "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" as much as "Invasion of the Blue Misters". What a nightmare!
