Did we overestimate the wins over South Carolina and Auburn?  I think so.
Of course we did.  We likely will also overestimate the meaning of this loss too.

Where are we at right now?  We're a scrappy team that plays good defense.  We're offensively challenged with basically only one offensive weapon (shooting threes).  We don't have enough good ball handlers to handle pressing teams well.  We (clearly) don't have enough experience to do it at all on the road.

We won two games against bottom tier SEC opponents.  We also played two top tier SEC opponents basically even (at home).  We are not going to beat a good team on the road this year.  Just won't happen.

Where does this leave us?  As a mediocre middle of the pack team, that is young and has some potential for the future.  But we have a looooong way to go.

We played good "D" in the 1st half?  Mizzou has like 50 friggin' points. rolleyes

What would mediocre "D" have been? Giving up 70 in a half?

Obviously I didn't mean *TODAY* we're playing good defense.  But this is going to be just the 2nd time in FOURTEEN games that our opponent has scored 70 in the entire game against us.

Yes, we're getting our tails whipped, but do you really think after watching this team all year that our defense is our problem?

Not on the perimeter as much as in the paint.  We have no ability to defend the rim.
