Look at the stats and they are actually WELL in favor of our basketball team over football. Yes we are a FOOTBALL SCHOOL but two Music City Bowl wins in the last 5 years? Big whoop compared to what Coach Stallings and the basketball teams have accomplished in such time. Times are changing and maybe Franklin and Co. will change that NEXT season, but hold your horses. Basketball and baseball has held us to the standards we expect in our University in last few years. Football is just now gaining speed.
Amen. IMO there are too many just coming apart over an obvious rebuilding year. It's not even about wins and losses this year, it's about rebuilding and having as much success as possible. 0-3 in the SEC so far. Could just as easily have beaten KY on that last shot and had the chance to beat Ole Miss, a very good team. A total disaster against Ark. (First time this team has dealt with such defensive pressure together and in a hostile environment). So very very close to having a 2-1 start against good opponents in the league. I've said it before and say it again, we've been on a good run in recent years. This stuff happens. I hate it, but I was prepared to deal with it since last year. If we don't win another game, it's not panic time yet. We may take two or three years to really get back on a good run. If it hasn't by then, it may be time to change things. I've seen too many great games and huge wins in Memorial with CKS to just want to dismiss him during a rebuilding phase. I know he is responsible for recruits, but I think we have some good recruits with better days ahead with a little help from additional recruits and more experience. Remember, this is not coming from a guy who looks through rose colored glasses. I've been scolded for too many negative posts in the past.
