Re: It's time for Vanderbilt basketball to change

You are underestimating.  There may have been as many as 200-300 of us left at the end.  I stayed just to soak in the hatred so that I would never, ever feel sorry for Yoo Tee when the worm turned (though I have to admit that at that point I wasn't sure it ever would).

One thing you aren't underestimating is the 35,000 orange idiots.  It was 80-20 or even 85-15 that day.

How ironic, that basketball...the sport that kept VU in the SEC despite others that wanted to kick Vanderbilt out of the SEC ... is now an embarrassment to Vanderbilt University.

I simply do not understand how a school with the best basketball venue in the country, the best basketball fans in the country and a positive historic tradition (unlike VU football and baseball) ... is in the position that the program is today.
I agree with what you have said obviously except for the word "embarrassment".  That's a little strong even for me.  I would have said difficult, unbearable, disappointment. But i am never embarrassed by Vandy except when I sat till the bitter end when ut beat us in football 65-0 along with another 100 fans and 35,000 ut nuts.  That's embarrings as well as all the other words I used.
