That was a great article.
My observation is fans from teams that have lost to OM hate him.
Non- OM fans i know that just happen to see him on TV think he is hilarious.
All agree he is one passionate dude who takes it to the edge.
If you choose to hate him, go ahead. But a lot of folks are watching OM basketball now just to see him, as well as the team being pretty good.
Yes, he's past the line NashReb. Vanderbilt fans don't like players who showboat and taunt the road crowd. Vanderbilt has never had a player like that fortunately and hopefully never will. Ironic that a fan base that prides itself on its decorum (and I've enjoyed Rebel hospitality in my visits to Oxford) would embrace a player like this.
The closest Vandy player I can think of being anything at all like Henderson would have been the Danimal, Dan Hall. And he never took it anywhere near the levels Henderson did the other night.
I completely understand. You do not like an opposing player to display "past the line" emotion/passion or taunt your fans (in case you were not there, some of that gesturing was directed toward the preponderance of OM fans behind one goal) especially when that player was responsible for beating your team. It maybe gets personal to you then. I get it.
Perhaps MH goes farther than you or I would display, but the kid Loves playing basketball. Loves it!! And I am all for passion in sports(or anything else for that matter) and will never seek to limit or curtail it, if within nl limits.
Have a great weekend. And good luck to your team.
