I hope we never resort to taking a punk like that to win a basketball game.  Closest we had was Billy Richmond, and he wasn't really that close when we booted him.  Henderson was worse than Demarcus Cousins, Ron Slay, Duke Crews, et al. Four schools in 4 years, and he only lands where he is because they haven't been to the tournament in a decade and the coach knows he has to take big risks to keep his job.

to Kennedy's credit, he pulled him aside in overtime to calm him down.  Of course, that doesn't atone for the first 40 minutes of him acting a fool.

OM has some good players on that team.  If not for the antics of that dork, I could pull for them in the NCAA's if they were to get in.

If I were his coach, I would sit him down for at least a half to prove a point that it is time for this punk to grow up.

His attitude and conduct reminded me of Travis Ford, who I continue to loathe 20 years later.

Google him.  He punched a BYU kid in the mouth, which was one of many things that led to his dismissal at Utah.  Then he got run from Texas Tech before settling at a JUCO where that type of behavior is borderline tolerable.  There is a long track record of him being a punk wherever he is.  Apparently last night was pretty much his normal behavior.

I'll take your word for it.  I just hold Cousins in extremely low regard.

I have to admit when I look at Marshall some times, I wonder whether he is entirely mentally healthy.  I don't think he is a "punk"--I think he probably just has some unresolved emotional issues....but wouldn't it be a crying shame if he were not able to pursue his talents as a basketball player because of them?

Andy Kennedy knows Marshall has issues and he is dealing with them...and as long as Marshall does not do anything that is totally off-the-wall, I think Kennedy is willing to stay with him and work with him to resolve his issues.....and I think he should be willing to.

I can see how his behavior can be a little annoying to fans of opposing teams--heck it is annoying to me at times--but I don't think it rises to the level of being a problem that should take him off the court.

That was a well-written, heartfelt retort.  But it reeks of BS.  The guy is a prolific scorer.  That's why you're willing to put up with his antics. But basically challenging everyone not wearing Ole Miss on their jersey to a fight every time he scores....thug, punk, whatever you want to call him.

I still say he is nuttier than a fruit cake but a good basketball player.
