Tebow did get poked in the eye in the UGA game....actually, unlike Ealey, he actually got poked and had to come out (he also wasn't spitting in players face like Ealey but that is neither here nor there)

This is the play that Meyer is referring too....this was in the 2nd series of the game and pretty much set the tone for what UGA did the rest of the game until someone decided to finally snap (spikes)....the refs did a piss poor job controlling this game

So is Urban Meyer petitioning to have the officials suspended for a quarter?  Maybe a half?

Hearing all this talk about the Florida/UGA game and what all went on during the game leaves me only asking noe question...where is Mike Slive at? Shouldn't he be making some kind of statements and reviewing ALL the videos where "questionable" action may have taken place?

So he will protect the refs from being publicily criticized...but when it comes to the players protect and such, he stays quiet.

Or maybe Urban Meyer will get suspended for a half by the SEC for criticizing the officiating.  To pass the time in the locker room, he could challenge Spikes to an eye gouging duel.

I don't know man...I am in no way condoning what spikes did but I do blame the refs. It was very obvious that UGA's goal was play very aggressive and rattle UF...They ripped spikes helmet off 3 times in the first half...the tebow hit I just linked...one of the worst face masks I have ever seen, when the player was out of bounds mind you (this was actually called)....Ealey spit in spikes face...Ealey stuck his fist into Joe Hadens chin....it was just a very very dirty game.

Ealey brushed off the whole incident on purpose...actually, UGA has been very quiet in general...and this for a reason...the spotlight is not on them for all the crap that went on

If the refs are not going to step up and take some control of the game then someone is going to take matters into their own hands, which is exactly what happened.

Just be glad Ealey isn't the director of officiating.  He thinks eye-gouging isn't that bad and doesn't warrant any suspension.
