I have been following VU for half a century now (ouch!) and this does rank among the very worst I have ever seen. Hell I can't type fast enough to keep up with the mistakes - another fumble !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this team, with this in way over his head coach, played Maplewood.. i'd favor Maplewood by 3 touchdowns.

It does look like this coaching staff has no answer for anything. Deep Water ? Maybe we should ask to play in the baby pool.

Get a new job, Mason. We need to fire him tomorrow. I'm not kidding.

Re: VU-Temple Game thread

I think a mistake was made when they hired coach Mason. They didn't say they wanted someone from Stanford.. they said they wanted someone like Fred Sanford.. and they got him!! Games like this will give the fan base "the big one Elizabeth!!"

I suppose Bear Bryant was "over his head" the year he went 1-9 at Texas A&M.

Re: VU-Temple Game thread

too bad that knee down call was given to Temple right at end of the first half with Temple's conference refs calling the game. It changed a good bit of the momentum from 14-7 to 21-7. We don't' get those breaks when we are on the road. That was pretty clear cut but shows there is not much respect. I had forgotten the part about the other conference's refs being involved when the uniform thing came up too.

As for the guy who is in love with the OL and griping at me, if you think they have played well the first three quarters, you are fooling yourselves. I hope they do well the rest of the game. But definitely McCr isn't ready for primetime after that second interception.

I wonder if Patton is going to play again or why he is out. Unless it's because he didn't move the ball and Rivers did a little.

When we're behind this far we need passes but when we were starting the game is when we should have been running probably.

Re: VU-Temple Game thread

I agree, expect he should be fired now before the game is even over.  I mean this is really unbelievable.  An SEC team that has won 16 out of their last 20 should have better expectations.

Re: VU-Temple Game thread

Whats the post game interview gonna be like for this clown of a coach? He can hardly do public speaking as it is let alone after he just got out coached by a 2-10 Temple team. P A T H E T I C. I hate working around UT fans i truly want to quit my job just so I dont have to hear them run there mouths. Thanks Mason.

need inspiring coach at halftime. Don't think Mason did much in that regard. (A bit like Stallings.)

Looks like the defense has quit. Temple blowing by us on the ground.

If Mason coaches the game against Ole Miss I will never trust AD Williams again.
