The Scout site reads he is 6' 2", 230.     Not big for a traditional defensive end.    However, going to a 3-4, where will he play?    Outside linebacker?      He seems to be more like an inside linebacker.

Yeah, think he's being recruited as an ILB

I don't know if U were being sarcastic? He chose us over schools like Arizona State, Cal, Boise State, Northwestern and of course Yale. There's nothing wrong with a 3 star recruit with good size and apparently is really smart.
Before the the first game on Dudley field in 1922 against Michigan, Dan Mcgugin addressed his team. "You are going against Yankees, some of whose grandfathers killed your grandfathers in the Civil War". It is not known if the players knew Mcgugins father was an officer In the Union army.

I don't know about other the other schools, but I know for a fact he was near the bottom of Northwestern's recruiting board, they went after something like 5 other DEs and didn't really recruit him hard. Glad he committed though, hopefully he will be able to help us out.

Re: Caleb Peart Commits!

Based on his highlight tape, his size and style of play reminds me a bit of Jarvis Jones (UGA's do everything playmaker LB from a couple years back).  I think Mason will find a way to use this kid's talent.

Re: Caleb Peart Commits!

I just listened to this kid's interview from the link above and WOW. This kid sounds like a grown man in the way he speaks. Even some of the smartest kids we see, while articulate, still sound like a high schooler. Peart sounds like a 35 year old professional. Very impressed. He will fit right in at Vandy.
