Season Tickets = Huge Increase!!!
Well, unless something changes I will probably have to downsize my season tickets. I just logged into the ticket website and for starters I guess they have done away with the family plan in the end zone because they are charging me full price for each ticket.
Additionally, I noticed above my billing they have a notice that they have increased the area that requires a NCC donation:
You may notice that the National Commodore Club has expanded for the upcoming season. There is a donation required for several sections of Vanderbilt Stadium. Portions of sections B,C,D, E and F will now require a NCC Donation. If you have questions about the new donation requirements for seats, please call the National Commodore Club at (615) 322-4114.
WoW that didn't take long! Guess it is time to run off the people that have supported this program even when it was getting its butt kicked by Wake Forest.

Careful, Jready. You're likely to be labeled a whiner by some on here.

Re: Season Tickets = Huge Increase!!!
Looks like the seats in Section J went from $126 to $166 for 2013. Not too bad of an increase considering the additional game.

Re: Season Tickets = Huge Increase!!!
One of the perils of having a big time football team is having to pay a big time price.
With the continued success so the team, I would envision a time when you would have to be an NCC donor to get a season ticket.

Re: Season Tickets = Huge Increase!!!
That matches my increase. Unless I messed up the math that is a 24% increase. I mean I was a history major so I may have messed it up. Everything is going up, but my income. Well, to show my commitment cable tv goes before football season tickets! GReaTDore wrote: Looks like the seats in Section J went from $126 to $166 for 2013. Re: Season Tickets = Huge Increase!!!
I think this is a bad time to be raising prices. Still trying to build an audience, fans, support. Why rock the boat? Wait till we have a couple of more years of success and then raise the prices. Just my opinion, it isn't much...

I don't even have my season ticket renewal package yet. Am I missing something? I thought Wednesday night was the first opportunity to even renew.

Apology to the board
FayetteDore wrote: Careful, Jready. You're likely to be labeled a whiner by some on here. I apologize to all of you vandymania peeps for being such a tyrant to a few of you. I personally apologized to the poster who started the thread in question. Also I would add to jjreadypro, hang in there if you can. We have been fortunate to be able to sit where we wanted and pay less money to do so than any other SEC school. Now that we're spending tons of money on program improvements so we can enjoy a better football team and program, we all have to step it up a bit if we can. Our family has been hurt by the economy of the past several years too, so I know all about money being tight, just hang in there and make it happen if you can. Hopefully there are some options for you and your family to be able to attend. I love Theo Horrocks consoling Arian Foster, what a great picture.

Re: Season Tickets = Huge Increase!!!
It is less than a 10% increase. 5 games at $126 is the same proportionally as 5 games at $151.20. The increase is thus $166 - $151.2 = $14.80. By my calculations, 14.8 divided by 151.2 is just under 10%. We are still cheaper than Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

True statement. If you take out money for another home game that does make the actual increase less. Re: Season Tickets = Huge Increase!!!
Still the best bargain in the SEC. I go to one UNC basketball game and two tickets are more than my VU season tickets.

Allow me to fix it for you to avoid further embarrassment:
$126 divided by 6 games in 2012 was $21 per ticket. $166 divided by 7 games in 2013 is $23.71 per ticket. 23.71 minus 21 is a 2.71 increase 2.71 divided by 21 is an increase of 12.9 percent per ticket. A12.9 percent increase is larger than an increase of just under 10 percent.

My log in is showing the total due for my tickets already. I hope they aren't finished doing the math on my account! kerrigjl wrote:

RE: Season Tickets = Huge Increase!!!
Pay the extra "12.9%" and thank god we finally have an administration that is backing football and athletics in general the way that it takes to be competitive in the toughest league in America. VU is going to announce additional facility upgrades this spring/summer and begin plans to either completely renovate Dudley or tear the damn thing down and build anew if that is deemed more cost effective. The headset times for VU football are still ahead of us gentlemen I would advise everyone to grab on on and enjoy the ride.

Re: Season Tickets = Huge Increase!!!
And maybe the increase is enough to discourage UT, FL, and SC fans fans from renewing their tickets, making them available to true VU fans.
Will be going to the Baseball banquet next Saturday, so should be able to ask about football tickets, since I am adding an additional ticket and also wanting to move them to where I ended up sitting for almost every game last year.
