To note.....Dukes first 11 outs were Ks or ground outs.....didn't get a groundout after the 4th inning.....no ball left the infield right of 2nd base.
Very impressive outing for Duke, picking up where he left off down the stretch last year. The first flyout he allowed was a pitch #55, then he allowed 6 more over the next 41 pitches without recording a groundout. He should get stronger as his arm gets back in season form.
Also impressed with Proudfoot at shortstop...very good defense, got on base twice, including that clutch triple to secure the win.
Fun first game! Only negatives were our 10 Ks and 2 errors.
