Did you see that he's bipolar, has an extensive arrest record and has numerous reports of yelling the n-word at kids, even threatening them with violence? It could be that he went a little too far this time. I'm not condoning violence, but if you think this was completely unprovoked you must be high.

Sounds legit.

“He probably did as much to instigate this as anybody,” said Marsha Skipper, who lives next door ... Skipper, who is white, said she gets along with her black neighbors and has not had problems with the black children. She said it would be bad for the neighborhood to turn the incident into the opening salvo of a race war. “I don’t want to see a racial issue with this,” she said. “I don’t want to see a black-white issue out of this.”

Interesting.

Another neighbor, who also asked to remain anonymous, said the black children have been “100 percent respectful” to him. The neighbor, who is white, said, “Matthew has a lot of problems. I’ve been waiting for this to happen because that’s what he does. He’s pushed a number of people.”

Sounds like a very similar opinion...

[Another] neighbor said Owens previously had been extremely angry at the children. “He ran in here and got 2 butcher knives. I said, ‘What are you doing with these?’” he said. “He was in a rage.”

Waiting for all the facts to come out. What a concept.

So you are saying he deserved to be beat by 30 people and put into the hospital? That's what I'm trying to say.
