RE: kornblut
You could always get the information for free on Cockytalk, only perhaps not as instantly as you would from the pay sites. IMO, recruiting information isn't that necessary to me to be news I need immediately, as all things related to recruiting has to do with potential for the future. But I can see how some have gotten so obsessed with recruiting that they want to know this stuff NOW NOW NOW!!!. LOL....
I have always expected Kornblut's stuff to eventually fall behind a pay wall, and I have always disagreed with it. A good portion of what he posts comes from actual phone interviews he conducts with prospects and high school coaches, but a LOT of what he reports come from other premium online sites such as Rivals, Scout, ESPN that he browses and regurgitates on his site. The "sources" he sites are typically the recruiting insiders of those other sites, that are not giving the info directly to Kornblut, but are posting on their sites and he is scamming off of..
I guess with his site starting a pay-wall, Cockytalk will have to stop C&P-ing his info with a link back to his site eventually: he was OK with that for the most part, bc it was mostly the only thing that generated page visits to his palmettosports.com webpage., which generated payment for the site's upkeep I guess. But now he'll probably ask Cockytalk to stop the practice....they can always paraphrase what's posted, so the info will always get out there to the public, you just will have to look for it...

Re: kornblut
I deleted them. I'm not paying $10 for something that should be free and always has been.
