Another linebacker prospect whiff
Quinton Powell, who was scheduled to visit USC this weekend, released this statement - "I've decided to cancel the rest of my visits to South Carolina, Oregon, and Miami. My top two are Southern Cal and Florida."

Or may be........ Joker Phillips, now an assistant at Florida, tweeted a picture of the Gators’ locker room set up for visiting recruits on Saturday. The Gators are using flat-screen TVs and Xboxes as part of their sales pitch, not to mention that boss black leather garment bag. |

I don't get the attraction to SoCal. I counted about a dozen commitments in the Army All-Star game. Muschamp seems to be recruiting well. Not good for us. But I'd much rather see these guys go to play for Kiffen than Florida.

now that UF has 2 guys very familiar with the Carolinas in Joker and Brad....not going to be easy for us to keep recruiting well. Deke needs to be a STRONG recruiter.

Joker hasnt been here in 4 years so he doesnt have much to work with..
and Lawing star power had faded somewhat (perhaps because of the "personal" problems he has been dealing with of late)
so Im not too worried about their impact..
but Muschamp does seem to have taken a stance of trying to affect us if he can...

If we remember it was the same week that Joker left
USC for kentucky that he was after our recruits. Now that
he has left Kentucky be assured he will go after anybody
he has a history with in the SEC area. Its what he does
since he can't figure out how to be a head coach. Leaving
one school for another is like getting a divorce. You leave
your caring and allegiance behind.

I wonder how many are waiting for this announcement? It is a huge number because he has decided and everybody is listening to PK because he used the word imminent. |
